Last night there was a charity barbecue at Waternish Hall with Michael Smith of Lochbay Restaurant in charge of the cooking. & what a success. See below for the posting Ian & Gill Williams made on Face Book. Congratulations to all involved.

With a great sense of amazement I can tell you that with the generosity of our online auction winner, many many local Skye people, Skye businesses andhelpers we have raised for the Skye and Lochalsh Young Carers and the Skye Food Bank a huge £6000 and a mountain of food. Bless you all. It is a wonderful thing to be part of, a humbling experience but do you know what, it is a joy to be associated with pure kindness. As I have said , when you can give, give a little more, this event proves that the people of Skye do just that. Well done and love ian and Gill.xx”
