Beinn Bhuidhe
Lochbay
While Beinn Bhuidhe (The Yellow Hill), named for the hill behind the house, is on our property it is completely private with its own parking space and a small garden where you can enjoy the wonderful views, sunsets and dark skies for which Waternish is famous. The main room is double height and has a well equipped kitchen and living space warmed by a cosy log burner, with plenty of wood provided. Designed for two adults there is a bathroom, a shower room and the bedroom has a double bed with Piglet in Bed linen. On the mezzanine floor you will find a desk and different perspective of Lochbay with views to the front and back of the house.
Stein, a Thomas Telford designed fishing village is within walking distance, as is Skyeskyns where you can sample delicious home baking from April to September in their pop-up Yurt. If you are looking for peace and quiet there are many lovely walks to enjoy on the peninsula through the local forestry or out to Waternish Point which affords uninterrupted views of the Outer Hebrides.
