The magic of Waternish begins with Fairy Bridge, just as you leave the road from Portree to Dunvegan.
The spellbinding panorama of Loch Bay leads your eyes to Dunvegan Head, and round to the Minch and to North and South Uist on the horizon. From Trumpan and Geary the views move further north to Harris and Lewis – all these islands being part of the Outer Hebrides or the Western Isles.
This north-western corner of the Isle of Skye epitomises Scotland at its most rugged, beautiful & breathtaking.
There are so many Things to Do from exploring the rich history & wildlife of the area to visiting the many local shops (tucked away where you least expect them) – seeing artists and craftspeople at work. You may also stay awhile and have a meal at the renowned seafood restaurant or at the Isle of Skye’s oldest inn (pub).
We have a variety of accommodation to offer, from Bed and Breakfasts to Self Catering Cottages. Scotland’s only working Tannery, shopping galore and stunning sea views.
A visit to Scotland is not complete without the Isle of Skye and a visit to the Isle of Skye is not complete without a visit to Waternish.
