We’re Good to Go Scheme

Last year all the governments of the United Kingdom, in the form of their respective tourism bodies, such as Visit Scotland, collaborated together and developed the We’re Good to Go Scheme. All tourism and hospitality businesses could apply to the scheme and be certified. In order to do this a business had to have “adapted their operations in line with respective Government and public health guidance and has a COVID 19 risk assessment in place to aid staff training, social distancing and cleanliness.”

The Scheme was very popular and has been revamped for this year with the coming summer in mind.

The Scheme allows the visitor to check on a map which businesses have been certified thus giving them the re-assurance that the business is following public health and Government advice. For the business it is an ideal opportunity to focus their minds on the task, to gain approval and then use it in marketing. It give their prospective visitors  added assurance that the business is safe.

Many businesses on Waternish, both accommodation providers and visitor attractions, are certified by the Scheme. So if you are thinking of coming to Waternish this summer, this should give you added assurance about your trip.
